Monday 2nd May - walk *** – Landguard Nature Reserve – sunny
periods.
It was a nice day here in Felixstowe with sunny periods before the big wind
with rain arrive tomorrow, I might give windsurfing a miss as we have
several breezy days in a row? As stocks are low and we have to do a big
shop at Lidl to get our 10 % off I had plenty of time to do my exercises in
the back garden before making a picnic with what was left in the fridge
before we drove down to The Manor end to park for a walk around Landguard
Nature reserve, sadly not a patch on what it was like this time last year
when it was a mass of colour with yellow and blue everywhere, next to
nothing now:( It was still nice to amble through the reserve, we even
spotted a singing Nightingale stopping at our spot on the old pier to enjoy
our picnic, sweatshirts were required here due to the westerly breeze! The
picnic was good and well rested we walked back on the best beach in
Felixstowe which was as usual very quiet:) Then we got a huge trolley at
Lidl before heading for home for a cuppa and cake! Everyone seemed to be
getting excited about seeing the Northern Lights tonight but that now seem
to be fading?
